Being surrounded by Level 4 and Level 5 individuals feels like stepping into a completely different world compared to what I’m used to, where Level 3 is often the highest bracket I know—and some friends have remained at Level 1 even after years of hard work. The wealth gap is truly stark.
My parents have worked incredibly hard their whole lives and are comfortably at Level 3—measured in Malaysian Ringgit—mainly through illiquid assets like property, land, and savings. So even within that, the scale is different. This imbalance is both humbling and jarring.
It makes me reflect on how different life experiences and opportunities shape our perspectives—and how wealth, while important, is just one part of the story.
